Products & Services
AUTEFA Solutions is a leading solution provider for turn-key nonwovens lines and machines for carded- crosslapped needlepunching lines, spunlace lines and thermobonding lines. In addition, AUTEFA Solutions offers comprehensive engineering services, including start-up and production support, as well as quality and capacity guarantees. The company combines the technology of the former Fehrer, F.O.R, OCTIR, AUTEFA and Strahm companies.
Nonwovens production lines can be complex and diverse, producing an extraordinary variety of materials. The list includes artificial leather, filter media, car boot linings and headliners, geotextiles, floor coverings, insulation and sound-absorbing fabrics and, of course, hygiene products. Raw materials include man-made fibers such as PP, PES, PA, PAN, PTF and viscose, as well as glass and carbon fibers and natural fibers such as flax, hemp, jute, wool and cotton. The range of product parameters is enormous: from very light fabrics of only 10 g/m² to heavy fabrics of up to 9000 g/m².
The main trends in the nonwovens industry of high productivity combined with low maintenance costs and high flexibility for different nonwovens products increase the demand for high quality machines from AUTEFA Solutions. The main features of AUTEFA Solutions production lines are the outstanding flexibility, allowing nonwovens producers to produce a wide variety of products and truly unique fabrics. AUTEFA Solutions is a full line supplier in all leading nonwovens technologies, from "bale to fabric".
AUTEFA Solutions Needle Punching Lines
AUTEFA Solutions Needle Punching Lines
Needle punching machines, or needle looms, are essential in the production of nonwovens. Nonwovens are mechanically bonded by needling. The needles punch vertically into and out of the material, interlocking the fibers by using the barbs on the needles. The felt is driven through the needle zone by the drive of the feed rollers.
The product range of AUTEFA Solutions includes single and double board needlelooms, tandem needlelooms, velour, structuring and patterning needlelooms based on the Needleloom Stylus NL drive concept series and the Needleloom Stylus VARILIPTIC drive concept. Needlelooms from AUTEFA Solutions combine Fehrer's know-how and many years of experience with the latest technology and offer optimum solutions for every kind of needling requirement, as single machines or integrated in complete lines.
At AUTEFA Solutions we understand the importance of high-quality products. That is why we have developed our 3-level Closed Loop Control System, which allows customers to monitor and improve web quality in real time. One of the key components of our system is a scanner that determines the weight distribution of the final product. This information is then used by the control system to correct the profile in the crosslapper and the infeed section of the card. The result is a very uniform distribution of the carded web, which is essential for producing high quality products.
This process is optimized by the WebMax web profile control system and several measuring points throughout the line. This WEBMAX profiling is integrated into our 3-level Closed Loop Control System, which ensures that the fabric is uniformly profiled in both machine direction and cross direction. Profiling is a unique edge treatment. It results in fewer edge-related problems and makes felt life more predictable and even longer.
The elliptical drive of the Needle Loom Stylus Variliptic is still the unique solution for draft reduction and improved CV values for all quality grades of needling. The horizontal stroke is continuously adjustable during the needling process. Unlike other machines on the market, the Stylus Variliptic requires only a single compact drive. The Variliptic drive increases needle life and minimizes the risk of needle breakage. It optimizes the surface of the nonwoven fabric while protecting the fibers and minimizing needle wear.
AUTEFA Solutions Airlay Lines
AUTEFA Solutions Airlay Lines with Aerodynamic Web Forming Machine Airlay FUTURA
AUTEFA Solutions Airlay Random Card K 12, in combination with Stylus Needle Loom or HiPerTherm Oven, meets all customer requirements for maximum productivity and consistently high quality. Suitable for all types of bonding processes such as thermal, chemical or needle bonding.
Airlay lines are characterised by maximum product quality, economical production and reliability. With more than 500 systems sold worldwide, customers benefit from F.O.R.'s many years of experience in carding and card feeding technology and Fehrer K 12's world-renowned expertise in aerodynamic web formation.
The aerodynamic web forming process with AUTEFA Solutions random card Airlay K 12 stands for an improved MD:CD ratio and a three-dimensional web structure. During the process, the fiber material is opened up to the single fiber, this enables a high versatility regarding fiber choice. Aerodynamic web forming machines from AUTEFA Solutions utilize the aerodynamic principle which results in three-dimensional fiber orientation and total randomization, enabling isotropic web properties. Suitable for all kinds of bonding processes such as thermal-, chemical- or needle-bonding the fabric goods offers a wide variety of applications. The process offers the special advantages when it comes to lighter weights and high loft fabrics.
Sustainability is a huge topic, worldwide. With the increasing environmental awareness, the demand for renewable textiles is forthcoming. Customers using replacement fibers like recycled PET fibers, carbon fibers, reclaimed fibers as well as various natural fibers such as hemp or coconut. Airlay cards with increased opening capabilities distinguish itself to process for a wide variety of different fibers.
All types of staple fibers:
Recycled fibers, shoddy fibers and regenerated fibers
Natural fibers (cotton, flax, hemp, sisal, jute)
Man-made fibers (Polyester (PES), Polypropylene (PP), Polyamide (PA, e.g. Nylon), Polyethylene (PE), Polyacrylonitrile (PAN, e.g. Acrylic))
Technical fibers such as carbon and glass
Web weight range: 80 – 8000 gsm
Fiber properties: 1.7 – 200 dtex; up to 100 mm staple length
AUTEFA Solutions Spunlace Lines
AUTEFA Solutions Spunlace Lines with Hydroentanglement Machine V- Jet FUTURA
AUTEFA Solutions offers complete production lines for the production of Spunlace nonwovens products, either in a direct or crosslapped configuration. The web forming process, consisting of the unique Injection Card and Crosslapper Topliner CL 4006 SL, is the key for high and consistent nonwoven fabric quality. With the Hydroentanglement Machine V-Jet FUTURA and the Square Drum Dryer SQ-V, AUTEFA Solutions has developed an advanced and unique technology with special focus on reducing energy consumption. During the process of hydroentangling, the carded fibers are bonded by means of jets with high pressurized water entangling the fibers with each other and consolidating the web.
With the V-Jet Futura and the Square Drum Dryer SQ-V AUTEFA Solutions is providing the Gamechanger in the spunlace field. After being particularly successful in supplying machines such as the Injection Card and the Crosslapper Topliner CL 4006 SL in spunlace systems in the past AUTEFA is now able to meet the increasing market demand for complete AUTEFA spunlace systems. The expanded machine portfolio with its V-Jet spunlace technology and Square Drum Dryer SQ-V is tailored to the specific requirements of the products manufactured with this technology. Since hydroentanglement and drying are highly energy-intensive technologies energy savings was the focus in developing these new machines. First installations worldwide have shown energy savings up to 30%, improved product quality and higher production due to improved product characteristics.
