With its Oerlikon Barmag and Oerlikon Neumag brands, Oerlikon Manmade Fibers segment is the world market leader for manmade fiber filament spinning systems, texturing machines, BCF systems, staple fiber systems, nonwovens and artificial turf systems and – as a service provider – offers engineering solutions for the entire textile value added chain.
As a future oriented company, the research and development at this division of the Oerlikon Group is driven by energy-efficiency and sustainable technologies.
With the expansion of the product range to include polycondensation systems and their key components, the company now caters to the entire process – from the monomer all the way through to the textured yarn.
Correspondingly, Oerlikon Barmag and Oerlikon Neumag – with just under 2,500 employees – has a worldwide presence in 120 countries as part of the Oerlikon Manmade Fibers network of production, sales and distribution and service organizations.
Oerlikon Barmag is the world market leader in development and production of spinning systems and equipment for manmade fibers such as polyester, nylon and polypropylene and for texturing machines.
Oerlikon Barmag has also established itself as a successful niche-market supplier: winders for special yarns, special applications and tape and monofilament systems are developed and manufactured at the Chemnitz site.
CP ( textile / bottle grade)
The engineering services for the complex systems – built in collaboration with well–known partners – are provided by highly-qualified specialists from all divisions of the global Oerlikon Manmade Fibers network.
This allows the yarn producer to secure all process steps – from the unloading of the purified terephthalic acid, polycondensation and spinning plant all the way through to texturing – all from one hand.
POY / DTY
Oerlikon Barmag’s POY WINGS technology will give impetus to your success.
Productive, energy-efficient, outstanding yarn quality – these are just a few of the numerous reasons you should opt for WINGS.
Texturing is a finishing step that transforms the POY supply yarn into DTY and hence into an attractive and unique product. During texturing, pre-oriented yarn (POY) is permanently crimped using friction.
Solutions for industrial yarn production
With a production window of between 50 and 12,000 den per filament, Oerlikon Barmag industrial yarn systems cover an extremely-wide titer range.
Depending on the application and the required yarn characteristics, our systems produce ‘strong’ yarns for all applications: from high-tenacity high-modulus yarn for safety belts, HMLS yarns for tire cords all the way through to low and ultra-low shrinkage yarns for tarpaulins.
